Revolution Idle Ultimate Beginner's Guide
Revolution Idle is a captivating incremental (idle) game that combines simple gameplay with deep mechanics. If you’re just starting, this guide will help you get the most out of the game. From core mechanics to early tips, this guide will ensure you progress smoothly as you build your idle empire.
1. Understanding the Core Mechanics
Revolutions and Circles
The Revolution Tab is where most of the action happens. You'll find 10 colored circles (from Red to White) here. Each circle spins laps at a specific speed, and every completed lap adds a multiplier of that circle’s color to your income. The total income you earn per tick is the product of all circle multipliers:
Income=Red Mult×Orange Mult×Yellow Mult×⋯×White Mult\text{Income} = \text{Red Mult} \times \text{Orange Mult} \times \text{Yellow Mult} \times \cdots \times \text{White Mult}
Each circle has three main stats:
- Revolution Speed: How fast it spins (Red is the fastest, White is the slowest).
- Multiplier Gain (Mult Gain): How much multiplier it adds per lap.
- Ascension Power: Determines how much Mult Gain increases after Ascension.
Upgrading Circles
To upgrade your circles, you need Revolution Score, earned each lap. Use it to level up your circles, increasing their speed. Each circle can be upgraded up to level 100 before you need to Ascend. Ascending resets a circle’s level to 5 but gives it a big boost in Mult Gain and raises the max level by 10. This is crucial for stronger multipliers in the long run.
Tip: Don’t ascend immediately. Wait until multiple circles are ready to ascend to maintain speed and income.
2. Prestige Layers: Infinity and Eternity
Once you’ve reached a high Revolution Score (around 1.79×103081.79 \times 10^{308}), you unlock Infinity, the first prestige layer. Infinity grants Infinity Points (IP) that you can spend in the Infinity Skill Tree. This tree unlocks new features like automation, generator boosts, and challenges.
By progressing further, you unlock Eternity, a second prestige layer with even deeper upgrades, including the Zoo and Animals system. Prestige layers reset some progress but provide valuable multipliers and points that make future runs much faster.
3. Automation and Efficiency
Automation is key to maximizing your idle progress. Unlock automation features early on (auto-ascend, auto-prestige, auto-promote, auto-infinity) so your empire can grow even when you’re not actively playing.
Use the Automation Guide to create presets that fit different stages of the game. By balancing upgrades between generators, promotions, and ascensions, you’ll boost your progress efficiently.
4. Challenges and Infinity Break
Challenges add extra difficulty but offer powerful rewards. Completing all 9 challenges unlocks the Infinity Break, a key milestone in the game that requires fine-tuning your automation and strategies.
When tackling challenges, adjust your automation settings (timers, levels, minimum multipliers) to optimize Infinity Points per minute.
5. Early Game Tips for Beginners
- Upgrade Circles Evenly: Keep all circles spinning at a decent speed.
- Ascend When Multiple Circles Are Ready: This prevents slowing down your income.
- Unlock Automation Early: It saves time and effort in the long run.
- Spend Infinity Points on Automation and Generator Power: These upgrades will help you progress faster.
- Experiment with Challenges: Once your automation setup is solid, challenges become a fun way to boost your progress.
